Dear Clients,
Chronic capacity constraints and equipment imbalances, along with congestion at the ports, container terminals and rail yards across the USA are having a major impact on the supply chain.
Changes in sailing schedules, cancelled sailings and equipment shortages are having a major impact on the services from all North American ports to the South West Pacific.
We have been advised by our contract carriers that ocean freight rates will be increased from 21 May 2021.
The increase amount has been advertised as USD 400/20’-TEU or approx. US$ 16.00/cbm and it is in addition to the increases that were implemented late last year.
If you wish to discuss the matter, please feel free to get in touch with me or with one of our team.
