Why our brokerage
Australian and New Zealand licensed customs brokers. Every entry is reviewed by a named broker who knows your account.
Books carry a specific tariff treatment many brokers miss. We get it right first time, plus card stock, paper, magazines, vinyl, stationery, and more.
Eligible importers can defer GST on imports until BAS time. We handle the application, the monthly reporting, and the reconciliation.
Freight and clearance on the same booking, the same invoice, in the same place. No chasing two providers when something needs attention.

Brokerage is built into every Book Systems freight booking by default. Whether your shipment moves sea LCL, FCL, air consolidation, or express direct, our brokers handle the entry, classification, GST, and biosecurity declarations as part of the same job — one booking, one invoice, one team accountable end-to-end.

Tariff classification, customs entries for sea and air imports, duty and GST calculations, biosecurity declarations, refund and drawback applications, and ongoing advice on rulings and concessions that apply to your goods.
Eligible importers can defer GST on imported goods until their next Business Activity Statement, rather than paying at the border. We handle the application to the ATO, the monthly deferred GST reporting, and reconciliation against your imports.
Printed books are generally duty-free entering Australia and New Zealand, but GST still applies and classification matters. Mixed shipments — books with stationery, card stock, or merch — need careful line-by-line treatment to avoid overpaying.
Yes. Standalone clearance is available for shipments freighted with another provider. Send us the docs once the goods are on the water or in the air and we’ll clear them at destination.
For straightforward shipments with paperwork in order, entries are lodged pre-arrival and goods can be released the day they hit the wharf. Complex consignments or biosecurity holds take longer, but you’ll always know exactly where things stand.
Get in touch with a few details about your imports. We’ll review your current setup, flag any quick wins on classification or GST, and onboard you across to our brokerage team with no break in clearance coverage.
