Orders are consolidated at a Book Systems consolidation depot, local to your supplier. Suppliers ship locally to the depot — often included free with your order — and we combine everything into a single sea freight shipment.
Sea freight is the cheapest mode of international shipping by a wide margin. By combining the volume of your orders across multiple suppliers, you fill space efficiently and pay wholesale rates — not retail courier prices.
Sailing times vary by lane, but expect 4–8 weeks from supplier dispatch to delivery at your door for most Australia and New Zealand routes. Plan ahead and sea freight will save you significantly on every shipment.
There is no minimum. We run regular LCL (less-than-container-load) consolidations for smaller bulk orders, and full container loads (FCL) when your volume justifies it. We will recommend the right mode for your order size.
Book Systems specialises in shipping books, but we can include many other items in your shipments. Card stock, paper, magazines, stationery, vinyl LPs, and more — all at wholesale sea rates.
